Thank You for Your Support!Your contribution will be used for multiple projects: training of African doctors and nurses in neonatology; support of a NICU team which gives babies their best chance of survival; offering subsidies for African physicians and nurses to attend the annual “Tiny Feet, Big Steps: Advancing Care of Critically Ill and Premature Babies in Africa” conference.
Over the previous four years, our International African Neonatology conference has trained 600 physicians and nurses from 150+ institutions and hospitals across 20 African countries. We demonstrate a low-technology, evidence-based, resource appropriate care model that results in our NICU achieving a 92% adjusted survival rate among nearly 3,000 small and premature babies. |

Training/ Outreach
In 2021, we launched our first “Tiny Feet, Big Steps— Advancing care of Critically-ill and Premature Babies in Africa” neonatology conference, paired with published a first-ever manual of our neonatology protocols for East Africa. Written by our team, this book (400 pages) was part of the international African neonatology training conference.
In 2023, we released a 2nd edition of our Every Breath Counts Manual of Neonatal Care & Drug Doses. To date, this book has been sent to nearly 250 hospitals in 25 African countries. |
